Director’s Notes

“Receiving the tote was such a bright spot in a very difficult and scary week.”
“You have a way of shining God’s love into the world.”
“It touched me to be blessed by strangers.”
“Every morning my wife and I read the daily devotional to each other.”
“The tote brought joy to my heart and I am grateful.”
“My son was admitted to Children’s Hospital a few days ago and we are still
here, a long way from our home in Alliance, NE. Thank you for the backpack
of toys, a gift card and a devotional. It was sweet receiving them and means so
much.”
These are a few excerpts from some of the notes we’ve received in the last few
months. Even if you’ve never battled cancer yourself or with a loved one, you
probably still know what it like to walk through a difficult time. You might also
know what it’s like to have someone who cared about you and encouraged you
during your difficulty. Although we can’t physically be with a person going to
doctor appointments, treatment or recovery time, we can give them something
to let them know that we truly care about them and make their journey a little
easier and more hopeful. This is what Tote of Hope is all about.
